Sebit Martin

Co-Founder & Executive Director of the Community Development Centre

2014- present

Martin is known for tremendous energy and vision in his work with CDC. Utilising his extensive experience in his role as co-founder and Executive Director of the Community Development Centre.

Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Mid Air Rescue Team -MART 2006 – 2007, and a co-founder of the Sudanese Educational and Developmental Organization -SEDO in 2010. In addition, Martin has served as a secondary school teacher at the King College Secondary School, Equatorial College, St. Paul Secondary School and the Excel International Academy Yei, Yei Day Secondary School from 2007-2012.

Martin is an acclaimed author of the Christian Religious Education book titled He Is Risen! which has been widely used by both teachers and students in South Sudan. Martin’s academic achievements include a degree in Social Work and Social Administration from the African Population Institute (API) Kampala, Uganda in 2015.

 

 


 

Barnabas Samuel

Co-Founder & Development Programs Manager of the Community Development Centre

2014-present

Barnabas is known for his skills in public speaking, and as an inspirational role model for young people through his work as co founder and development programs manager for CDC. Prior to his current role, he worked as the Managing Director of End Time Co. Ltd 2012 – 2013 and the manager of Mule Pharmaceuticals Ltd in 2011. Barnabas is the founder of Help Up The Children of South Sudan – HUTCOSS in 2010 and the Bible Truth Sowers Ministries 2007.

Barnabas’s published work includes a book titled An Interview with Don Carls and Judy Barbara on communication and communication skills in marriage. His academic achievements include a Degree in Project Planning and Management Juba University, Juba , South Sudan 2011.

 

 


 

Geoffrey Etrima

Associate Director & Community Development Admin of the Community Development Centre

2016 – present

Prior to his current role, Etrima worked as a director of SKY HI Computers, a private computer firm operating in South Sudan and Uganda in 2012. In addition to working for the German Development Service (DED) and National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Uganda in water sanitation and hygiene in 2006.

Etrima’s academic achievements include a bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering and a certificate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Graphics Design from Uganda Technical College – UTC  Kicawamba, Fort Fortal in Western Uganda in 2007. 

 

 

 


 

Peace Feni

Project Coordinator at the Community Development Centre

2016 to present

Prior to her current role as Project Coordinator at the Community Development Centre. Feni worked with the African Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Victims in Kampala, Uganda in 2012 and with United Methodist Committee on Relief UMCOR  South Sudan 2014 – 2015. Her role as a psychosocial counselor involved working with refugee communities who had been displaced from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Darfur in Lasu, Nyori camp. In addition to handling cases of sexual and gender-based violence and child protection.

Feni’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counseling at Bugema University in 2011,  and an American high school diploma from the Nile Union Academy, Cairo, Egypt.

 

 


 

Akita Suzan Manasseh

Associate Director, Audits and M&E Officer at the Community Development Centre

2015 – present

Manasseh became an Associate Director at the Community Development Centre in 2017. Prior to her current role, she worked in finance admin for Brac, in Juba South Sudan from 2010 – 2014.

Manasseh’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, from Uganda Martyrs University in 2008.

 

 


 

Ladule Christopher

Finance Administration at the Community Development Centre

2016 to present

Christopher works as the Finance Administration at the Community Development Centre since 2016. Prior to his current role, he worked as a science teacher at the St.Paul Secondary School from 2012 – 2014.

Christopher’s academic achievements include a Degree in Agriculture from the Upper Nile University , South Sudan and a Diploma in Public Health at the Africa Population Institute

 

 


 

Al Lemeri

Community Links and Communications Officer at the Community Development Centre

2017 – present

Lemeri has worked as Community Links and Communications Officer at the Community Development Centre since 2017. He has utilized the power of video, social media and communication to advance and market the goals of CDC.

Prior to his current role, he worked as a radio producer and reporter with the Catholic Network from 2010 to 2015. Lemeri’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

 

 


 

Clara Rose

Development Desk Officer at the Community Development Centre 

2018 – present

Rose has worked as Development Desk Officer at the Community Development Centre since 2018.

Her academic achievements include a degree in Business Administration from Makerere University Business School, Kampala, Uganda in 2017.

 

 


 

Angelina Surur Abdalla

Project Coordinator at the Community Development Centre

2018 – present

 

Abdalla has worked as Project Coordinator at the Community Development Centre since 2018. This role involves coordinating the Menstrual Hygiene Management -MHM Programs for Rhino Camp Refugee Settlement which involves empowering women and giving dignity through hygiene.

Abdalla’s academic achievements include a Degree in Development Studies from Bugema University, Kampala, Uganda in 2017, and a diploma in Public Health from Uganda Christian University in 2015.

 

 


 

Rhina Akujo

Community Development Worker at the Community Development Centre

2017 – present

Akujo has worked as a Community Development Worker at the Community Development Centre since 2017. Within her current role she has worked at the Omugo Extension camp in Uganda she has faced the challenges and obstacles for women and girls during menstruation. As a consequence, she is a passionate advocate for menstrual hygiene initiatives.

Akujo’s academic achievements include a diploma in Social Work and Social Administration at Makerere University, Uganda in 2015.

 


 

Likambo Peter

Development Programs Manager at the Community Development Centre in Democratic Republic of Congo with the Centre de développement Communautaire

2017 to present

Peter has worked as Development Programs Manager at the Community Development Centre in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the Centre de développement Communautaire since 2017.

Peter’s academic achievements include an Advanced Certificate of Education from the Yei Public High School.

Hakim James

Project Coordinator for the Food Security and Livelihood Program at the Community Development Centre

2017- present

James has worked as Project Coordinator for the Food Security and Livelihood Program at the Community Development Centre since 2017. Prior to this role, he worked as co-founder of the Organic Food Advisory Organization South Sudan in 2015, and Program Manager for Mother and Child Development Aid from 2014 – 2015.

 

 


 

Towongo Peter  

Programs Assistant at the Community Development Centre in South Sudan

2017 – present

Peter has worked as Programs Assistant at the Community Development Centre in South Sudan since 2017. Prior to this role he worked with the Centre for Democracy and Development CEDED as a Field officer from 2015 – 2016.

Peter’s academic achievements include a Diploma in Development Studies from Bugema University, Arua Campus, Uganda in 2016.
